Our house is in a beautiful Bowie, MD neighborhood which is a suburb of Washington, D.C. You can drive to Washington D.C. in 20 minutes. The drive to the metro station is 10 minutes. The metro/subway will take you to downtown Washington, D.C. and Virginia in 30 minutes. A bus stop is a 7-minute walk from the house. The bus will take you to the metro station. The Six Flags America Amusement Park is 3.3 miles from the house and is one bus stop away. A brand new public library, bank, barbershop, and other stores are a 7-minute walk from the house. The house is directly across the street from a lake where neighbors fish in the summer. Our tree-lined neighborhood is full of single family homes where people jog, ride bikes, and a tennis court is 3-minutes from the front door.

Mom Robin is a spectacular woman. I lived in the house for 5 months. Bowie is a wonderful neighborhood with a lake right across the street from the house. It feels just like home. Mom definitely helps you speak English. You can only speak English in the house and she is a great teacher. You can stay in your room, or work in the library/TV room, or have fun with the other guests at dinner. You should stay here. It is a great place.

I did not expect the kindness and special care that we got at Mom Robin's house. I stayed for three weeks in the downstairs apartment, but you are free and welcomed to be in the TV room, kitchen just like you are in your own home. The food is so good. This is a special place. I hope to come back soon.

Mom Robin is so warm and nice. I am a teacher from Colombia and stayed in the room with the Lion King on the wall. I loved my room. The house is so pretty. I stayed at the house with three other teachers from Colombia for a month during Thanksgiving and right before Christmas. We were treated like family. I would definitely stay at Mom Robin's house again. She will always be my U.S. Mom.

Mom Robin is the best. I stayed at her house for almost a year. When I first came, I could not speak any English. The house is warm and wonderful. It is just like being at home. My room was great. The food is very good. She mentored me and really helped me understand the culture and how to reach my goals. I still contact Mom Robin for advice. I finished English Language School in the Washington, D.C. area, and I am now in college. I will always treasure the time I spent at Mom Robin's house.
