Golden Castle awaits you....Hi, I'm Paul. My family and I look forward to meeting you and learning all about your home/country and culture. Our home has 8 bedrooms. Four bedrooms upstairs and main bathroom with door lock which is shared with family (mostly-Paul), plus the convenience of a separate toilet. Two bedrooms & one bathroom downstairs in a self contained residence, and a Student flat downstairs with two bedrooms and a bathroom- separate entry with parking.
Plenty of off street parking.
The student bedrooms are upstairs on the 2nd floor and opposite the main bathroom.
The house is fitted with a security alarm and security grills on all windows.
Late 2014, I returned home to Brisbane from over 10 years, working in Jiangsu, China and brought my new family with me.
My partner "Lee" is mainland Chinese and speaks reasonable English - she is a currently on home duties with a new born and is expecting another.
Lee's Chinese name is Liping. (pronounced Leeping) and loves sleeping and gets on well with everyone.
Our daughter "Jolie" is very cute and speaks both languages but prefers English. She is 8 years old.
Lee has another daughter "Angelina" and is another little Angel. Angelina is a toddler and learning to speak.
We provide nicely appointed accommodation and so close to everything. The weekly fee covers everything, except internet.
I usually host over 18's home-stay students, and that keeps me busy as they are usually long term students, so my listing here is often paused.
Our house is situated a short 5 minute stroll from Rode Rd shopping centre. With fast-food restaurants such as Fish & Chips, Subway, Asian fast food etc, Gym, Medical centre, physiotherapy, Dentist, Coles supermarket, 24 hour Coles Express store with Shell petrol station. Wine store, discount stores, delicatessen, bakery, butcher, hairdressers, coffee shops, Post Office, and nail bar...etc. Aldi, Woolworths and IGA supermarkets are also 5-10 minutes drive away.
Prince Charles & Holy Spirit Hospitals are a 1km walk east and NorthWest private emergency hospital is just 3km away in the west.
The 343,344(peak time express services only) & the 24 hour "345" bus service stops a short distance from our house and takes 25+ minutes to reach the City centre, sometimes less time, depending on traffic.
Our house is just 200m from the 598/599 shopping plazas Busses that can take you to, Everton Park, Brookside, or Westfield Chermside shopping plazas which are just 10 minutes drive from here. This bus also goes to the south side of Brisbane to Garden city Westfield shopping centre which is close to Sunnybank Plaza (Asian shopping metropolis). However this journey can take around 2 hours as it takes you to many other shopping plazas along the way.
A quicker option is the 345 Express Bus (close by) which takes 20 minutes to the city centre and can also help to get you to Sunnybank Plaza and takes you into the underground station in King George Square (CBD) where you can then walk 5 minutes to the Underground station in Queen St Mall opposite a Women's clothing store called (Forever 21) it's half way along the mall on your right (about a 300m walk)- then walk over to the subway steps just before Forever 21 on your left with the glass wall. These steps lead down to Bus stops #(1F) 130 bus & #(1E) 140 bus where you can take either bus to Sunnybank Plaza. This takes around 30 minutes. Please be courteous to other people and wait in a line for these buses. The Queen st Mall - bus station is also close to fast food places which are also good meeting places for friends too.
The Sunnybank Plaza and surrounding shopping centres will Resemble Shanghai, Seoul, or Tokyo as there are Asian people everywhere, you can count white faces on your hand.
Brisbane is a very multicultural city, so please remember to be polite, respectful and courteous to everybody at all times and don't forget to smile and say thanks to people that help you with directions.
Australian people are some of the most warmest and friendliest people in the world. Welcome to Bris Vegas (Brisbane).

Smoking is not allowed inside the house but you can smoke outside under the Smokers Gazebo. Please wash clothes in the washing machine and use the drying line outside, there's also a drying line under the patio/deck and under the smokers Gazebo in bad weather. Please do not wash clothes in the bathroom and drip dry your clothes inside your closet. When eating food inside your room, please empty the rubbish basket when it gets full and take out cutlery, bowls, plates and cups and rinse in the kitchen. We prefer that you eat at the dining table, unless it's mainly just snacks in your room while studying. Insure you lock front entry door when entering and exiting the house. No friends are allowed to stay over in your room at night without permission, for security and safety reasons. Talk quietly on your phones, computers and face to face after 11pm. Wipe down excess water from floor and basin area inside bathroom, to leave it tidy for other students and family to use. Do not use host's computer. We have high speed Cable broadband internet via a WIFI unit. The range can be reached anywhere inside the home and outside up to 100m. There are several Photoelectric smoke detector alarms close to and inside some of the bedrooms or just outside the bedroom doors. If you do light up a cigarette inside your room, then these alarms will sound and THEY ARE EXTREMELY LOUD and can make you feel ill. PLEASE SMOKE OUTSIDE!
