1. Speak English in the homestay. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or when you need help. 2. Keep yourself, your clothes, your room, your linens, laundry room and your bathroom clean. 3. Help clean up after eating and when hosts ask for help. 4. Always lock the house when entering or exiting. Student will be provided with own key. 5. Never smoke in the house. 6. Never cook on the big stove/oven. Use the designated microwave or toaster oven. 7. Be home on time. Call us if you need to stay after school for school activities. Travel with a friend, or call us to arrange for pick up. Curfew hours is at 10:00PM. 8. Observe meal time when at home: Breakfast at 7:00AM, Lunch 12:00NN, Dinner 6:30PM. Student is to eat in the dining room or breakfast room with the Host family. They cannot take their meals inside their room, only snacks are allowed. Snacks are provided such as fruits, juice, cookies & crackers. 9. Use internet legally and appropriately. 10. On occasion, we will organize outdoor/recreational activities such as picnic, camping, hiking, and skiing with the family. The student, upon approval of the parents or guardian, may or may not participate. 11. Please inform the Host if you are not going to school or don’t have school.
